SAP
are encouraging businesses to try a free public beta of their new SaaS
collaborative decision making application.
Codenamed
12sprints, the tool allows people to communicate and work together more
efficiently in a cloud based interface.
Similar
to Google Wave, announced last year, individuals are invited to submit their
thoughts and ideas in a discussion based forum.
12sprints
comes with a group of tools to drive the decision making process, including
pro/con analysis, SWOT analysis, polling and agenda planning.
SAP
described the tool as the ‘first and only software-as-a-service (SaaS) solution
that brings together people, information and methods to drive swift, informed
decision-making’.
“People
don't want to be bound by unnatural and fragmented ways of working,” said Marge
Breya, executive vice president, SAP.
“This
is why we developed 12sprints. It brings method to the madness, combining not
only business intelligence and collaboration technology but also methods with a
framework to help teams share intelligence and make better decisions that drive
meaningful results.”
The
beta version sits solely in the cloud as a hosted technology, so no download is
required.
Both
free and paid versions will be offered upon general availability.
