SAP’s SuccessFactors user conference, SuccessConnect 2015, was held in Las Vegas from August 10-12, with the theme, ‘Simplifying the way the world work’. If you weren’t one of the 2800 attendees, you can read out about the key announcements, analysis and personal takeaways from the event in our round-up (sadly without the poolside cocktails). In case you missed the news last week, SuccessFactors used the event as the forum to announce the next generation of its HCM Suite, as well as SAP’s signing of a new global reseller agreement with Workforce Solutions.

SAP has provided a summary of SAP president of HR line of business Mike Ettling’s keynote at the event, which focused on ‘charting a low-risk, high-return journey to cloud-based HR’, drawing comparisons with Jules Verne’s Around the World in 80 Days.

In his coverage of the event, Brian Jackson, editor of itbusiness.ca, discusses SuccessFactors’ new Intelligent Services, a feature of the revamped HCM Suite; SuccessFactors’ plans to rebrand its Platinum Support offering; and highlights the top 10 moments of SuccessConnect.

Constellation Research’s Holger Mueller, who was visiting Australian shores this week for the SAUG National Summit, shared his analysis of the announcement regarding SuccessFactors HCM Suite, as well as his perspective on this event, which gives SuccessFactors a good report on its progress, “innovative ideas and challenging the status quo.

Diginomica’s Jon Reed sat down with Mike Ettling at the event to discuss SuccessFactors’ five key differentiators, and get some answers on HANA Cloud Platform extensibility.

One of the events held at SuccessConnect was a National Championship Performance Management Throwdown, bringing together representatives of 13 companies who won regional events to battle it out. SAP’s Steven Hunt writes about what he learned at the event in 5 examples of effective performance management: Lessons from the 2015 SuccessFactors Performance Management Throwdown.

And on the lighter side, SAP’s Annie Neubrech shared her top five takeaways from SuccessConnect 2015.
