Datacom expands SAP services with acquisition of Enterprise Support

By Anne Widjaja

Australasian-owned IT services company Datacom has acquired Enterprise Support Asia Pacific (ESAP), a supplier of SAP Human Capital Management implementation and support services.

According to Datacom, this acquisition provides an extension to its existing capabilities in application support and payroll/HR.

The acquisition follows the company’s recent WMware accreditation, which was awarded as a result of its expertise in moving critical business applications from vendors such as SAP and Oracle to the cloud.

Datacome has already announced plans to expand ESAP’s SAP offerings to larger enterprises throughout Australia and New Zealand.

“SAP is the leader in this market and we are pleased to now have a significant capability in its software solutions through this acquisition,” said Jonathan Ladd, CEO, Datacom Group. “Enterprise Support aligns well with our company purpose to provide great solutions that deliver enduring performance to every client.”

ESAP is based in Melbourne and provides services to large public and private entities. These services include hosting, supporting and maintaining implementations of SAP HCM. ESAP delivers services to clients at a competitive “cost per pay” model, as opposed to the typical in-house implementation.

“Datacom is great for my people and my clients and for the future of Enterprise Support. They are an organisation that understands this business very well and will enable Enterprise Support to grow much faster than we ourselves could organically. It’s a great match for us both,” said Girish Anand-Sobti, former owner and managing director of ESAP.

Anand-Sobti will continue to work with Datacom on the partnership, along with all original ESAP employees. The business will operate as an independent unit within Datacom and will continue to deliver services to its existing clients.
