ERPScan, a leading SAP and Oracle cybersecurity provider specialising in preventing cyber-attacks and internal fraud, has announced that its security solution was selected as a finalist in the Security Monitoring category at the 2016 Cybersecurity Excellence Awards.
The Cybersecurity Excellence Awards honour products and companies in 33 categories including Anti-Malware, Vulnerability Management, Application Security, Cloud Security and Security Monitoring. Criteria include the ability to demonstrate “unique” capabilities, leadership and innovative achievements.
ERPScan provides effective identification, analysis and remediation of security issues, providing custom templates for the industry requirements of oil and gas, utility, energy, manufacturing, retail and other sectors. The software monitors multiple SAP and Oracle systems on a continuous basis, covering all SAP platforms (ABAP, JAVA, HANA, BOBJ and Mobile), modules (ERP, CRM, SRM, BI, HCM), and industry solutions.
Awarded alongside traditional security companies, ERPScan views the recognition as proof that SAP security monitoring solutions are at least as important as traditional security solutions, and depending on the application, sometimes more important. For example, ERPScan cites Gartner and IDC research reporting that traditional security solutions cannot help when it comes to securing mission-critical ERP systems.
Headquartered in both Palo Alto and Amsterdam, ERPScan is not a newcomer to awards with more than 35 under its belt to date, including last year’s Emerging Vendor by CRN and an award in the IT Products and Services for Enterprise category at the Hot Companies and Best Products Awards.
