Esker adds to global R&D team

By Elizabeth Kelleher

Esker has today announced that it will strengthen its Research & Development (R&D) team in response to a growth in demand for its on-demand solutions.

Before the end of the year, 20 new technical staff will join Esker’s R&D team, bringing the number of R&D staff to 70.

The new team members will focus primarily on development, software quality testing and on-demand platform operation.

The expansion comes as Esker moves to consolidate its automation solutions under three cloud computing models: Software as a Service (SaaS), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS).

Jean-Michel Bérard, CEO and president of the Board of Directors, Esker, said the R&D team will work to further Esker’s leadership position in cloud computing services and solution and better meet the needs of its customers.

“We are one of the first software vendors capable of offering automation integrating the three layers of cloud computing – software, infrastructure and platform solutions,” said Bérard.

“With over 50 per cent annual growth in the past five years, these on demand services have been well adopted by companies around the world, and represent 40 per cent of our sales revenue”.
