Several IT companies including Deloitte Canada, SoftwareONE, and Netcompany have recently acquired SAP Partners to build out their technological development practices and expand their respective SAP portfolios.

As part of a global professional services network assisting clients across various markets, Deloitte’s broad range of audit, consulting, financial advisory, risk, and tax services reach more than 150 locations around the world. The organisation actively takes part in opportunities involving mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships that strengthen its digital, data, and artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities to better serve customers. Last year, Deloitte joined forces with UK’s largest independently owned SAP Partner Keytree to extend their capacity to support an ever-larger customer base spanning four other countries including Australia, Canada, India, and Spain.

Meanwhile, its Canadian member firm Deloitte Canada has so far acquired four companies in 2021 to help grow its offerings for both mid-market and large-sized clients. Recently, the company has announced a new acquisition deal involving SAP consultancy and software reseller Ouest Business Solutions (Ouest). Ouest offers Deloitte its experienced leaders that aim to provide instant scale focused on serving utilities, mining, and medium-sized businesses in British Columbia and across the country.

Thrilled to be entering a new chapter with Deloitte, Tanya Peachey, Consulting Partner at Deloitte Canada, former CEO and President of Ouest, stated:

“In this next stage, we’re excited to continue our journey by fostering new relationships in Western Canada, further expand the network of Deloitte offerings, and provide Canadian clients with a range of cutting-edge SAP solutions.”

The 15-year-old SAP solutions and services provider also specialises in finance, enterprise asset management, supply chain management, business intelligence, human capital management and safety, user experience, and security. Commenting on the latest partnership, Anthony Viel, CEO at Deloitte Canada, said that Ouest will enable the company to continue to expand its services and grow its SAP mid-market offerings. He added:

“This is a significant strategic addition for the firm given the digital acceleration in the market following the pandemic and the desire to modernise IT systems to enable such.”

Strengthening SAP Development Practices By Acquiring SAP Partners

To reinforce its SAP presence and cloud delivery capabilities, global end-to-end solutions provider SoftwareONE has also made several strategic acquisitions of SAP Partners in the last two years. The IT firm announced an agreement to acquire SAP cloud technology expert Optimum Consulting in January this year to bolster its managed services portfolio in North America. In 2019, it also joined forces with Melbourne-based SAP consulting firm Brave New World Consulting (BNW) to extend its technology services capabilities centered on public cloud migrations, S/4HANA transformation, and support.

Furthermore, SoftwareONE’s recent acquisition of UK-based SAP Partner Centiq is also one of several major deals that saw global players snapping up SAP specialists. Centiq, which has an Advanced Specialisation designation for SAP on Azure, is anticipated to give more professional and managed services capabilities to SoftwareONE, particularly in S/4HANA on Microsoft Azure. Daniel Da Vinci, Global Practice Leader for SoftwareONE SAP Services Practice, explained that the company is bolstering its global SAP Services practice and expanding its footprint in the EMEA market with this deal.

“Centiq’s incredible capabilities will equip our customers with the skilled guidance and solutions required to migrate to the cloud. In addition to the proven capability we are now adding to our global SAP Services practice,” he added.

Centiq CEO Matt Lovell, on the other hand, believes the integration into SoftwareONE’s global SAP Centre of Excellence enables its team to deliver even more customer success and value with a multilingual, follow-the-sun workflow.

Moreover, this month also saw Netcompany Group acquiring IT solutions provider INTRASOFT International, a company that aims to provide high-quality SAP services through a team of SAP certified professionals. As an SAP Partner and a leading integrator in the EMEA market, the company offers solutions that include the necessary hardware equipment, SAP licenses, and services for the installation and customisation of SAP solutions to meet specific customer requirements.

Alexandros Manos, CEO at Intrasoft International, commented:

”We share Netcompany’s vision, values, and focus on delivering digital transformation that creates strong, sustainable societies, successful companies, and improved quality of life for all.”
