Location and tracking technologies from cloud-based location platform provider HERE will be integrated into SAP solutions, under a new agreement.
HERE Tracking will add real-time tracking services into the SAP Global Track and Trace solution, allowing for the monitoring of goods across the supply chain, both indoors and outdoors.
Several intelligent location services will also be integrated into SAP Transportation Management, enabling enterprises to manage their global and local shipping activities across all transportation modes and industries. Functionality enabled by the HERE Open Location Platform includes optimised fleet routing based on real-time and predictive traffic, real-time tracking and post-trip analysis.
HERE will also integrate SAP Vehicles Network into its product offering, to provide a connected parking solution for automotive, mobility and fleet management customers, assisting drivers to find and navigate to petrol stations and parking stations, authorise payments electronically and operate petrol pumps.
