Private health insurer Medibank Private has reported in its 2017 results that its major SAP-based DelPHI implementation is beginning to bear fruit.
The company said it is now benefiting from more personalised and proactive customer communications, easier integration and faster product development, and improved customer segmentation. It has also achieved significantly improved functionality and speed of MyMedibank and app.
The $150 million project to replace its core IT systems began back in 2011, and though has not been without its issues, transitioned into ’business as usual’ during the 2016/17 year.
As reported by ITnews, the company is now moving onto its next major IT uplift, Project Springboard.
Medibank plans to spend around $40 million implementing a suite of cloud solutions including SAP S/4HANA, Ariba, SuccessFactor Onboarding, Employee Central and Employee Central Payroll, Fieldglass and WorkForce designed to increase the efficiency of its finance, procurement and people and culture functions.
