SAP SE has announced plans to release new versions of the SAP Enterprise Asset Management (SAP EAM) and SAP Field Service mobile app, which will leverage the Maximo back end and run on SAP Mobile Platform 3.0.

These applications were previously known as Syclo mobile apps.

SAP Work Manager for Maximo and SAP Inventory Manager for Maximo mobile apps are available now, while new versions of the SAP Work Manager, SAP CRM Service Manager, SAP Inventory Manager and SAP Rounds Manager mobile apps are planned for availability during Q4 of 2014.

“We plan to continue to invest in our customer’s mobile application requirements, specifically those that run on SAP Mobile Platform that help support specific line-of-business needs,” said Rick Costanzo, executive vice president and general manager of global mobility solutions, SAP.

“Helping customers simplify their business is a priority and mobile plays a critical role in reducing complexity. Our role-based mobile apps target specific business needs to help customers drive growth, engagement and productivity.”

The new version of SAP Work Manager is expected to have added integration with geographical information systems (GIS) and integration with SAP 3D Visual Enterprise applications.

In response to growing customer requirements, SAP has also showcased new augmented reality apps including the planned SAP AR Warehouse Picker mobile app and SAP AR Service Technician mobile app.
