Frucor’s Richard Raj has been promoted to a new role of group digital solutions and innovations manager for business technology, covering the company’s New Zealand, Australia and international businesses.
Raj was previously group IT solutions manager, NZ and Australia, and drove Frucor’s recent SAP projects to implement direct containerisation and restructure its warehouse management.
Raj told CIO NZ that the new role is part of a repositioning of Frucor’s IT department from information technology to business technology.
“The aim is to rapidly grow a technology capability that is externally focused and focused on using technology for deeper engagement with our consumers and customers as well as driving business growth,” he said.
Raj said in the new role, he will be covering development and delivery of Frucor’s digital solutions/strategy, management of group IT investment roadmaps (capex portfolio or projects), the Project Management Office, systems integration and database administration, and business partners relationship management.
