On The Move: SAP appoints new general manager of global public services and healthcare

By Emily Jacobs

SAP AG has announced the appointment of Mark White as general manager of the global public services and healthcare industries.

He will be responsible for SAP’s public services and healthcare footprint, covering government, postal, defence and security, healthcare and education customers globally.

“Mark brings the experience needed to grow a key business for SAP,” said Simon Paris, the newly appointed global head of strategic industries.

“Just as IT has moved to the heart of public service and healthcare delivery, these industries – always strategic to us – are now at the heart of SAP’s brand and agenda.”

White began his career with SAP in 2002 as chief financial officer (CFO) for the Americas region. He contributed to the establishment of the SAP National Security Services (NS2) division and led the company’s political action committee (PAC).

In his new role, he will lead a team dedicated to addressing public service and healthcare issues, including the challenges of the accelerated pace of urbanisation and improving access to education and healthcare.

“Mark is an experienced, proven professional who knows how to motivate a team and get results. His collaborative, straightforward approach is exactly what we need to achieve our ambitious public services and healthcare goals,” said Paris.

The public services and healthcare team will continue to focus on offering a mix of cloud, hosted and on-premise technology that customers can use to improve their efficiency and the quality of life for the people they serve.
