Enterprise Information Management solution provider Open Text has opened two data centres in Tokyo and Osaka to support its OpenText Trading Grid and OpenText Managed Services customers.
The two new facilities will allow customers across the Asia-Pacific Japan region to access enterprise-class cloud computing services and applications for securely managing, exchanging and socialising enterprise information.
Open Text customers in the region will also benefit from enhanced data sovereignty and service continuity of the local computing infrastructure in Japan.
“As many countries, including Japan, begin to mandate local processing of their data, the data centres in Tokyo and Osaka offer our cloud-based information exchange services while addressing data sovereignty concerns,” said Nori Hayakawa, president, OpenText Japan. “With our Asia-Pacific data centres in Japan, OpenText can help customers across the region adopt B2B integration as a key enabler in their businesses.”
With the facilities, Open Text is providing support for Japan-specific communication protocols including Zengin and HULFT MFT protocol, as well as providing Japanese language support and user interfaces.
