The SAP Analytics Cloud offers end-to-end analytics that helps businesses in evaluating and predicting business outcomes. Several companies, global brands and organisations, like McDonald’s, have partnered with SAP and implemented the SAP Analytics Cloud to help modernise its operations. Just last week, SAP announced through its website that the SAP Analytics Cloud leads in The BI Survey 19.
BARC Research, an industry analyst firm and known to be one of the largest in its field, conducted the BI Survey 19 titled ‘Comparison of the Best Business Intelligence Software Products in 2019.’ The survey was considered to be the voice of the BI and analyst community.
SAP’s very own Analytics Cloud takes the top rank across four peer groups. These include data discovery-focused products, international business intelligence (BI) vendors and integrated performance management products.
Details of the BARC Research’s BI Survey
The results that named the SAP’s Analytics Cloud as the leader came from the survey conducted by BARC Research from March to June 2019. Three thousand twenty-one respondents from all over the world were asked a series of questions regarding their BI software.
In the survey, they have compared 36 leading business intelligence tools based on 34 key performance indicators. Cloud BI, innovation, mobile BI and length of the project were identified as the key performance indicators. And to qualify in the detailed analysis tool, at least 30 user reviews are required.
Peer groups were used to give better evaluation and to deliver fair and useful comparisons of the nominated solutions that offer similar products. The peer groups were sorted by functionality and company type.
SAP Analytics Cloud key findings revealed
Based on the survey results, 97% of the participants said that they would recommend SAP Analytics Cloud. The present result has increased by 1% compared to the conclusion of the survey in 2018.
When it comes to functionality for dashboards, 91% of the survey participants rated it as good or excellent. The result is 9% higher compared to the average BI tool.
55% selected SAP Analytics Cloud because of the company’s high-innovative capacity over other BI tools which are only at an average of 16%.
Additionally, the survey revealed that the software as a service (SaaS) BI platform outperformed all other vendors’ products across the vast global BI vendors peer group. The analytics cloud also achieved top positions in the large international BI vendors peer group for providing business value, achieving customer satisfaction, delivering innovation and building competitiveness and functional categories.
The survey also confirmed that, compared to other products, the above-average proportion of the SAP Analytics cloud users achieved increased revenues, reduced costs and saved the need for additional headcount.
Gerrit Kazmaier, SAP HANA & Analytics’ executive vice president, expressed his thoughts on the performance of SAP Analytics Cloud-based on the results from The BI Survey 19 in delivering a high-level of satisfaction for its users. He elaborated the scope of the SAP HANA Cloud Services, which includes the SAP Analytics Cloud, the SAP Data Warehouse Cloud and the SAP HANA Cloud.
