SAP Cloud for Real Estate, winner of the Red Dot Award for Communication Design 2017, is an additional offering outside of SAP’s existing commercial real estate solution.
Corporate Real Estate teams are expected to efficiently handle massive amounts of data in multiple locations and multiple entities. More often than not, many organisations utilise multiple applications and resources to track real estate data; manage strategic activities such as acquisitions, subleasing, expansions, and downsizing; and provide robust financial analytics.
To address the challenges and digital trends in the real estate industry, Honeywell, a leading solutions provider for aerospace products and services, technologies for buildings and industrials and performance materials, partnered with SAP to combine operational data, smart data and financial metrics in a unified dashboard for building operators. The collaboration integrated the two tech companies’ solutions Honeywell Forge and SAP Cloud for Real Estate.
The Unified Dashboard
As a result of this recent Honeywell-SAP alliance, the platform Honeywell Forge Real Estate Operations was created, a single dashboard for metrics covering sustainability and building utilisation. Built on SAP Cloud, it combines operational data such as HVAC maintenance, security services, and lighting with business data including utilisation, leasing, and maintenance.
The joint cloud-based solution leverages Honeywell Forge to provide AI autonomous control capabilities to adjust maintenance, comfort, and sustainability and SAP Cloud for Real Estate solution to streamline and combine operational and business data for better decision-making and greater efficiencies. Essentially, Honeywell Forge Real Estate Operations empowers facility managers and building owners to reposition complex portfolios through cost savings and newly identified efficiencies as well as improve the tenant experience.
The unified dashboard from Honeywell and SAP will include:
- Predefined dashboards with information technology and operational technology KPIs.
- Monitoring and reduction of annual energy spend based on goals such as reduced carbon footprint, energy efficiency, and maintenance hours.
- A harmonised data architecture that connects building data from Honeywell with real estate and financial data from SAP
- Combined human comfort KPIs with measured experience KPIs
Real Estate Management Game Changer
Darius Adamczyk, Chairman and CEO at Honeywell, shared how building owners grapple on getting real-time data to help them assess the efficiency and utilisation of their portfolios. On how the new solution breaks new ground in the real estate industry, he said:
“Honeywell and SAP together will provide insights from the boiler room to the boardroom that make it easier for our customers to get a true picture of how to optimise building performance, lower carbon emissions to meet sustainability goals, reduce energy costs and help enhance occupant experience.”
“Having this information readily accessible will allow our customers to generate tremendous business value while becoming more sustainable, and it will greatly enhance the appeal of their buildings to renters and tenants,” Adamczyk added.
Christian Klein, CEO at SAP stressed that the Honeywell-SAP collaboration becomes a significant game-changer in digital and intelligent real estate management today.
“Customers will greatly benefit from the single holistic view provided by our offering dashboard. With the addition of Qualtrics, companies can also collect employee sentiment data to provide a complete 360-degree experience measurement while optimising occupant productivity, building performance, and their entire real estate portfolio,” explained Klein.
“With embedded artificial intelligence and data analysis, our solution will enable managers to determine their optimal office use and adjust their portfolios to reflect varying economic, environmental, and regulatory conditions,” he further said.
The partnership with SAP is a major milestone for Honeywell as it transitions to be one of the leading technology providers today. CEO of Honeywell Connected Enterprise Que Dallara shared that this is the company’s first initiative in additional verticals to be rolled out and that they are optimistic about the probability of other systems and data to connect to the platform in the future.
