Businesses generating leads for SAP cloud solutions that covert into fully paid deals will be able to claim a finder’s fee for the vendor, under the terms of a new program announced at the SAP SME Summit in New York City this week.
The SAP PartnerEdge Cloud Choice, referral option offers rewards to businesses involved in the small and midsize market who refer SAP solutions and products to clients. With the program, SAP is extending beyond SAP PartnerEdge members to reach a wider SME audience.
Businesses participating in the program will have access to assets and links, as well as a portal to manage their lead referral activities and view their earnings.
“As a key cloud player, our next frontier is aggressively going after the cloud opportunity with small and midsize companies,” said Rudolph Cardenuto, president, global channels and general business, SAP.
“SAP must rely on our extensive network of partners to tap into this expanding market and help customers succeed on the path to the cloud. Therefore, we are launching the second cloud model for partners in just three months. The referral option focuses on empowering our current partners, as well as new partners, to grow their businesses and serve as trusted advisors while helping businesses solve today’s IT challenges.”
SAP already offers a profit option in the PartnerEdge Cloud Choice program, under which partners can earn a revenue share on contracts. The program is currently live in 24 countries, and is being rolled out to more markets in the fourth quarter of 2016.
