SAUG Forum success

The SAUG yesterday held their inaugural South Australian Forum.

The event was held at the Hyatt Regency Adelaide, and by all accounts was a success.

The event was attended by approximately 60 attendees who listened to a range of customer and SAP presentations.

Attendees were pleased with the level of participation; comparing the forum to past events which only attracted 20-30 Adelaide SAP customers at most.

Keynotes included presentations on SAP Value Engineering, Business Intelligence at Phillip Morris, and the SAP Communities.

Other presentations and focus groups discussed issues related to external facing portals, Building reports with Web intelligence, decision making with dashboards, the use of solution manager at Australia Post, the SAP BI Roadmap, and ERP Enhancement Packs.

Adelaide currently hosts two SAUG Special Interest Groups (SIGs). One focuses on SAP solutions and the other is an SAP BusinessObjects specialty.

The SIGs have begun to flourish under the enthusiastic leadership skills of Kate Wilson from ABB Grain and Andrew Hall from SA Department of Health.

The SAUG’s next event big event will be the 34th Plenary, in Melbourne next month.
