The SAP Australian User Group has established a new S/4HANA Special Interest Group (SIG), led by Medibank’s Travers Stow.
The group will allow administrators, developers, project managers, analysts and anyone who is using or considering S/4HANA to exchange ideas and experiences.
Stow believes it will be particularly beneficial for SAUG members who work in the areas of IT, finance, HR/payroll, and procurement, or business and technical analysts.
Stow has taken on the role of SIG lead due to his interest in the area.
“Prior to moving into technology, my business background was in retail financial services. There I saw a strong push to technical arbitrage – that is, activities that were previously done by people were increasingly being moved into the organisational technology code-line,” he said.
“This move to technology generates large quantities of data (so-called ‘big data’) – technology like S/4HANA enables organisations to make better use of their big data, leading to better customer insights, better product and services. I very much enjoy working in this area – it’s not so much about the technology, but what you can use it for, and how.”
SAUG members can join the S/4HANA SIG via the Communities section of the SAUG website.
